This CD is an ideal companion for those dreary winter days when you can't get out on the fells but want to evoke memories of past walks with friends on favourite hills.
Alex is a versatile conductor, teacher and performer as well as composer, and it is good to stay up to date with his latest ventures. As I am often away from Cumbria, it is great to be able to visit this site and feel at home again, through Alex's expressive music.

This music is really calming and is perfect for chilling out in the evening with a glass of wine. The album contains some more uplifting tracks so it has a good sense of purpose and variety to it. I have visited many of the places that inspired these tracks and the music reflects the beauty of the Cumbrian landscape.

A lovely CD. Cumbria is a beautiful part of the work and Alex has captured it in his timeless music. I have only had it for a week and already 2 sets of friends have said they want to get it - I hope they do!
